I have an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge and a PhD in Sociology from Cornell University. I taught at the Said Business School and Jesus College, Oxford from 1994-2022, following previous stints at Stanford and McGill.
Last year, I retired from being an academic and returned to life on the other side of the fence, studying for a Master of Fine Art degree at Oxford Brookes. My artistic practice primarily involves drawing and printmaking. I am interested in the kinds of interactions that link individuals, whether those individuals are human or not, with a particular interest in on cooperative, symbiotic and mutualistic interactions.
